Project Description
The Mt. Scott Trail ADA Improvements project increased accessibility, safety, and connectivity along the existing trail system adjacent to Mt. Scott Creek. The project included improvements to two trail segments, upgrading pathways and amenities to meet current ADA standards while preserving the natural character of the surrounding area.
Work included trail demolition, reconstruction, resurfacing, and site restoration, along with the refurbishment of an existing boardwalk on the southern trail segment. The northern segment included construction of a new poured-in-place concrete ramp system connected to an elevated wood boardwalk to improve trail access across varying terrain. Additional work included clearing and grubbing, tree removal, masonry block retaining walls, permeable and non-permeable HMAC paving surfaces, and landscape restoration.
