- Developing underground utility and major stormwater infrastructure.
- Coordinating phased improvements to support safe, efficient airport operations.
Project Description
The O’Hare Next Program focuses on the continued development of terminal facilities and the infrastructure needed to support O’Hare International Airport’s future growth. A key component of the program is the O’Hare Global Terminal, which will serve as the primary passenger gateway and connect travelers to other terminal facilities across the airport.
The project team supports the program through the design of airfield taxiway and apron pavements, underground infrastructure, airfield tunnels and roadways, and major stormwater detention facilities. The utility design includes stormwater, sanitary sewer, water, electrical, and communications systems supporting the terminal development.
Our team coordinates closely with terminal planning and design professionals to ensure airfield and supporting infrastructure integrate seamlessly with future terminal operations. Design efforts also account for existing, interim, and final project phases, helping maintain safe, efficient, and reliable airport operations throughout construction and the long-term life of the facilities.
