Project Description
The Chicago Department of Aviation’s residential noise mitigation program helps reduce aircraft noise impacts for homes within designated noise contours near O’Hare and Midway International Airports. The program includes the installation and improvement of noise-reducing windows and doors for eligible residential properties.
The project team provides client relations and project coordination from initial homeowner contact through design, installation, and project closeout. Bilingual staff support communication in English, Spanish, and Polish, helping homeowners, contractors, and project teams stay informed throughout the process.
Additional services include project estimating and scheduling, contract administration support, FOIA documentation, claims and lien coordination, compliance packages, and project closeout. The team also worked with the Chicago Department of Aviation to identify homes where windows did not meet specifications or warranty requirements and determine where replacements may be needed.
Work performed by 2IM Group, now part of MacKay.
