Project Description
The I-294 and I-57 Interchange project involved Phase III engineering services to support construction delivery, quality assurance, and coordination throughout the project.
The project team supported construction inspection and Phase II engineering efforts through on-site inspections, design change reviews, quantity documentation, and field coordination using Bluebeam Revu. Inspection services covered a range of roadway and structural elements, including traffic control, roadway construction, drilled shaft foundations, footings, and Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) walls.
Our team also worked closely with project stakeholders to document construction progress, address field conditions, and support timely resolution of design and construction issues. With extensive knowledge of Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and Illinois State Toll Highway Authority standards, the team helped ensure construction progressed efficiently while meeting project requirements and Tollway specifications.
Work performed by 2IM Group, now part of MacKay.
