Project Description

The Walnut Street Extension to Highway 99E Bore project expanded the City’s wastewater infrastructure by installing approximately 1,000 linear feet of new 8-inch sanitary sewer line. A key component of the project involved safely crossing both the Union Pacific Railroad and Oregon Department of Transportation Highway 99E without disrupting critical travel corridors.

The work included installing the sewer line within a 20-inch epoxy-coated steel casing pipe with cathodic protection beneath the railroad and a 20-inch steel casing pipe beneath Highway 99E. These improvements strengthened the City’s sanitary sewer system while supporting future growth and development.
